Children must be taught how to think, not what to think” Margaret Mead

Staffing

The following staff will be on holiday during February:

5th – 9th: Ms Lidia

14th – 16th: Ms Yasmin

23rd – 2nd: Ms Mohima

Buggies

The buggies in the entrance must be folded and stored in the designated area. Our storage is limited, please make use of strollers that can fold up small. Children over 2 years should preferably walk, instead of using a buggy. The entrance is one of our fire exits to use in case of an evacuation. Buggies standing around is a Health and Safety hazard.

Holidays

Just a reminder to please inform us if your child will be on holiday and not attending Nursery.

Feedback at the end of the day

Please note that staff are in ratio until their shift is done. They can give quick verbal feedback, but please note that they have a responsibility towards the children that are still at Nursery and cannot have lengthy conversations. If you have anything to discuss with your child’s key person, please speak to management to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Healthy Eating

It is important that children are given the opportunity to celebrate special occasions and cultural events. Traditionally, food and drink are often used to mark these occasions. It is important to think about celebrating these events in different ways to reduce the amount of high fat, sugar and salt foods children eat at these times and to take into consideration children’s allergies and dietary requirements. Therefore, parents are encouraged to bring in healthier food (such as fruit) or non-food items for birthdays and other celebrations.

Music Classes

Unfortunately, we had our last Little Musicians session on 22nd of January as Ms Erna has moved back to South Africa. As soon as we have a new Company that can offer a similar service, we will let you know.

Children’s Belongings

We would like to request that parents take extra care when collecting children’s belongings at the end of the day. We had a few occasions where parents took the wrong items home. If this does happen, please return the items as soon as possible.

Parent Questionnaires

Thank you for all the feedback from the Parent Questionnaires. We will share a summary of the feedback soon.

Kind Regards,

Ms Izette & the Zeeba team
