We would like to welcome all our new families that have joined throughout March. We hope that you have settled in well and are enjoying Zeeba. We are still continuously settling children through April. Thank you for families, recommending Zeeba to friends. We appreciate your endless support.
During Thursday and Friday (23rd and 24th March) we had a Cake Bake Sale, raising funds for the charity B.L.I.S.S. Thank you to each and everyone baking & donating!
It is time to get the dust off the walking shoes, as we are planning our Muddy Walk for May. All funds raised through the Muddy Puddle walk, is transferred towards SAVE THE CHILDREN fund. This is a fun walk that Zeeba joined since 2015 and will continue to be part of. Each year we have a wonderful walk along the river and docking boats, which is a fun family walk and a real treat for the children. Please save the date as: 6 May 2017. More information to follow soon.
Thank you so much to all parents supporting us with Buggies being fold up and scooters being parked to perfection. Thank you as well, for parents informing us when a buggy is not folded up immediately. Safety is our first priority, and the exit is our fire escape to safety. Please continue to support us by folding buggies and storing scooters appropriately. Please note that we have a large intake of buggies and scooter, thus cannot accommodate little trailers and large bikes to store. If this is being brought in we would like parents to take this home again.
Additional spaces are more challenging to allocate at the moment. Could parents please kindly book additional sessions at the latest by a Thursday morning for the week before? Spaces on Tuesday – Thursday’s are extremely limited. To permanently lift days, please get in touch with management to arrange this for you.
Please inform us via email or phone about holidays and or absences. This way we will not give you a ring whilst being abroad, or intrude when your child is not too well. If parents could confirm absences on sickness on the day by 10am, we would be very grateful.
Please note the following holiday dates for our staff:
Ms Chantelle: 3 – 28 April
Ms Iffat: 4 – 21 April
Ms Phebean: 6 - 12 April
Ms Nasma: 18 - 21 April
Ms Rezwana: 18 – 25 April
Zeeba make use of the magical program called Tapestry. Tapestry allows us to work in strong partnership with parents by following the children’s educational development within collaboration from the EYFS. (Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum). The Tapestry Account, which is private and confidential to each child in the setting, allows us as teachers to log development with photos and videos; linking this in with Learning Observations. Parents are able to do the same by uploading achievements, WOW moments as well as special moments. Once we have linked it in with the EYFS, it will be reflecting in the Tapestry Account. The app is amazing on smart phones as well as accessible on computers. If you have lost your login link or have not received as yet; please contact Ms Rezwana at: firstname.lastname@example.org for further support.
Please note that whilst Ms Rezwana is on her holiday in April; we will not have any observations approved. On her return she will work around the clock to ensure that Observations are approved and shared as per normal.
13th April: Easter Competition Entries close – Further information to follow
14th April: Good Friday (Zeeba is closed)
17th April: Easter Monday (Zeeba is closed)
23rd April: St Georges Day – 24th April – please dress as a Knight, Princess or in Red and White
As families are now aware on the allocated schools for their children, it would be supportive towards us to share the information with your Room Leaders please. As always we arrange a meeting with the teachers in the new settings to allow a formal handover from us. We also try to arrange visits from the teachers to Zeeba and vice versa. This is all to support children within the transition to their new school / setting.
We are currently working on our summer menu. We would like to encourage parents to share their favourite dishes from home as we would like to allocate these into our summer menu.
As the weather is turning slightly warmer as well as our days become longer we would like to encourage parents to support us by helping us get ready for the summer days. Please support us with sunscreen and a sunhat in the additional clothing back pack. Water play outside will slowly start to become more popular under the children. Once summer is in full swing we will have splash pools out for the children to cool down during the day – thus a towel and swimming costume could come in handy.
Please save the date as the week of 8 May 2017 for parents evening. Closer to the time we will be able to share more detailed information regarding this.
Hereby we wish everyone a wonderful April especially the long weekend that is around the corner.
